Our workshops

Our wood shop, metal shop, jewelry studio, rapid prototyping area, electronics workshop, machining area, learning lab, and forge area are outfitted with all the tools, programs, and equipment you could need to make your ideas a reality.

The Flex Space

The Flex Space is co-managed with Champlain College. Champlain Students have access to their own MakerLab and use the space for events, installations, projects, and performances. The Flex Space is available for rent and can accommodate up to 200 people.

Generator studios are equal parts DIY workshop, business incubator and community hub. Studio members have unique access to an active hivemind of professional artists, entrepreneurs, designers, and engineers.

The Conference Room

Our conference room offers the essential elements for meetings: outlets, a conference phone, a whiteboard wall, and a screen for presentations and video conferencing. The conference room is next to the kitchen for quick coffee and tea access and easy snack preparation. Bathrooms are around the corner, and glass doors allow attendees to watch the comings-and-goings of Generator members and their projects.

The Great Hall

Our Great Hall is Generator’s center. Most of the time it’s a shared workspace with first-come-first-served tables for projects, computer work, and meetings. It’s also the site for many of our signature events and lecture series. The large open space is flanked by artist studios, rapid prototyping equipment, the learning lab and conference room, and our general tool wall, making it an interesting and energetic space to host an event.

Rent a locker to store your personal tools and materials for your projects.  Our lockers are 18” x 6’ x 2’ and are $30/month.
