4-Axis CNC Milling Instructor
Generator Makerspace is seeking an experienced 4-Axis CNC Milling Instructor to lead our tool training workshops. This foundational course covers the safety protocols and basic operations of our Roland 4-axis milling machine, introducing students to the exciting range of industrial and creative applications this technology enables, from product prototypes and replacement parts to sculptures, figurines, and 3D art. Trainings run approximately 4 hours, and are offered every other month.
The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, experienced with CNC milling workflows, and enthusiastic about teaching beginners in a hands-on environment.
Wood Lathe Instructor
Generator Makerspace is seeking an experienced Wood Lathe Instructor to teach our tool trainings. This hands-on course introduces students to safe lathe operation, fundamental turning techniques, and basic machine maintenance. Trainings run approximately 2.5 hours, serve a maximum of 3 students, and are offered every other month.
The ideal candidate brings extensive wood lathe experience and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching beginners in a hands-on environment. Wood shop certification is not required, as we are glad to offer that training at no cost as part of the instructor onboarding.
This is a teach, demonstrate, and keep things safe kind of role, and would be a great fit for anyone with wood working and lathe experience who also enjoys sharing their craft.
