In order to keep Generator safe, we require members to be certified by a Generator instructor to use our tools and machinery.
Typically, members get certified by taking one of Generator’s Tool Trainings.
Generator’s Experienced User Assessments (EUAs) allow Generator members with extensive experience to bypass our tool trainings and instead participate in a one-on-one in-person assessments with one of Generator’s instructors.
Generator instructors will test members’ skills and knowledge and provide additional Generator-specific safety policies and protocols. EUAs also go over how to use a “shared” tool– particularly how to care for tools and community safety at Generator.
All EUAs are priced at the same rate as the discounted member price for the general training of the respective shop or tool–Pass or Fail.
