Part-Time Programs Instructor (she/her)
Sarah McNamara (or “SarahSam,” as her students call her) grew up among artists in Vermont. She is an alumna of the University of Michigan School of Art and Design.
Working five seasons for UMich’s Prop Shop deepened her love of technical theater work. Some of her puppets were featured in their productions of Disney’s The Little Mermaid and You for Me for You.
In Maine, she painted landscapes, taught technical theater, and made the Mo and Petra puppets for The Petra and Mo Show by Andrew Simon. She also spends summers at Camp Beech Cliff, sharing her love of art outside.
A fierce love of play and the great outdoors serves as regular inspiration. She is now back in Vermont, where her paintings are on display at the Ethan Allen Homestead Museum. Sarah teaches Generator’s Intro to Woodshop Safety class, and she’s excited to be an official part of the programs team as a youth instructor.
