Methods & Means

Methods & Means – Thursday, July 30th

Ever wondered how other creators actually make it work?

Methods & Means is back, and this time we’re trying something new. Instead of individual presentations, we’re pulling together some chairs and getting five makers, artists, and creative entrepreneurs in the same room for an open discussion about the business of making.

Discussion Topic: Maker Economics
How do makers use their skills to make money? Do they even want to? Whether someone is making full-time, making on the side, or making purely for the love of it, there’s a story there. Our goal is to bring these stories into the open so all of us can learn from them, and maybe even help you identify a path you didn’t know existed.

The Format
Five panelists. One moderator. Honest conversation.

Emily Eley, the facilitator behind Generator’s JumpStart Business Development Program, will moderate and help guide the discussion and make sure we get to the good stuff.

Come Ready to Listen and Ask
The floor will be open for audience questions, so bring your curiosity. We want as much community involvement as possible. These are the kind of conversations the maker community doesn’t have often enough, so come prepared to make the most of it.

Our Maker Economics Panel Includes:

As always, these events are FREE and open to the whole community.
