Below is additional information regarding volunteer benefits.
- 24/7 Facility Access
- Volunteers start with the same access as our regular members, 6am to 10pm. However, after completing continuous 4 months as a volunteer you can request to have your access upgraded to 24 hours a day, seven days per week. This is available only by request.
- 10% off tool trainings and workshops
- This is built into our system. When you register for a tool training or workshop there is an option to register as a member. Use this option to take advantage of the 10% discount. You must have an active membership for this to work.
- Three FREE Tool Trainings Per Year
Generator volunteers earn (1) complimentary tool training for every (4) months of volunteering.- Volunteers must complete 4 months of volunteering before becoming eligible.
- Membership and rentals must all be in good standing
- Earned trainings do not carry over.
- If your volunteer membership lapses, your eligibility timeline restarts
- Volunteers cannot be the only participant in a training. If no paying members register for a training it will be canceled.
- Volunteers cannot register more than (1) week in advance of the start date of a tool training.
- To redeem a free training volunteers must contact [email protected]. We’ll verify your eligibility and then provide a discount code. Usage of this program will be tracked in Generator’s records.
