Here at Generator we are always eager to explore new collaborations with universities and colleges that share our vision of empowering students, and helping them develop the skills necessary to be successful in their professional lives. Currently, we maintain active partnerships with the University of Vermont and Champlain College, and offer specialized membership programs designed to support their unique students’ needs.

Champlain College Membership
Champlain College Student Memberships to Generator are available at no cost through an application process to a limited number of current Champlain students, faculty, and staff (full and part time).
Membership numbers are limited and will be prioritized for students needing access to tools for academic projects. Selected applicants will have access to:
- Shops, spaces, and equipment (following requisite trainings)
- Free training classes on rapid prototyping tools (3D printers, laser cutter/engraver, vinyl cutter, sewing machines) and discounted classes on all other tools at Generator
- Wi-Fi and access to computer lab with Adobe Creative Suite programs and 3D CAD software
- The Generator space from 6am – 10pm with Champlain ID card
Following acceptance, members will need to complete an orientation to the space and sign a membership agreement/liability waiver. Applicants must be active Champlain College community members. Alumni are not eligible.
All Champlain Memberships are pending until approved!
After applying keep an eye on your email inbox for a notification that you have been accepted or rejected. Approval typically takes 1-3 business days.
UVM Student Membership
The University of Vermont also makes available a limited number of student memberships every school year. The program is operated by the UVM Career Center and requires interested students to apply through their website.
