Apply to compete in the world’s largest and richest student startup competition, the 2015 Rice Business Plan Competition on April 16-18, 2016.
The deadline for entries is Friday, February 27, at noon (CST).
More than $1 million will be awarded. All 42 university finalists will be invited to pitch their new ventures to over 275 judges in person in Houston and all 42 finalists are guaranteed to be awarded cash prizes.

- Life Science/Biotech/Medical Devices
- Energy (oil and gas, other traditional fuels)
- Information Technology/Web/Internet
- Space Technologies/Aerospace
- Consumer Goods and Products
- Social Impact
- Advanced Materials/Other Technologies
The competition is open to all currently enrolled students from any university. All teams must include at least one graduate student.
